Merry Christmas from Northwoods!

We are grateful for a year filled with positive interactions with our customers. Most of all, we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, and hope you can as well. As the calendar year ends, we would like you to know about a new chapter for us that started this past fall. Towards the end of September, Jen and I (Jason) finalized the purchase of Northwood Country Market from Glenn and Loretta. We are excited about the future, and want to honor the culture of friendliness and quality food that they started in 2001. No big changes are planned for now, and Glenn still will work throughout the week for the foreseeable future, while Loretta continues to do occasional Saturday baking and other work.


Our popular mid-winter citrus pre-orders are available! You can now pre-order Putt's California navel oranges, organic oranges, and grapefruits that are tree-ripened and harvested carefully on a small family orchard owned by Glenn's acquaintances Sam and Betsy Putt. They should arrive mid-January. These come in a 25 lb. box for $34 for regular oranges, $41 for organic, and $48 for grapefruit. Our holiday hours will not be changed much since Christmas Day is on a Wednesday when we are closed anyway. Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24) we will be open until 3:00 PM. New Year's Day we will be closed, but open New Year's Eve and January 2nd normal hours.
